Mike Dueker, the chief economist at Russell Investments, was found dead at the side of a highway that leads to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington state, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. He was 50.
Bloomberg News reports that he may have jumped over a 4-foot (1.2-meter) fence before falling down a 40- to 50-foot embankment, Pierce County Detective Ed Troyer said Thursday. He said the death appeared to be a suicide.
Dueker was reported missing on January 29th, and a group of friends had been searching for him along with law enforcement. Troyer said Dueker was having problems at work, without elaborating.
39-year-old Gabriel Magee, an employee of JP Morgan investment bank fell to his death from the firm's European headquarters during rush hour in London Tuesday.
Magee, a vice president in IT at the bank, landed on the ninth floor of the 33-floor building in Bank Street, in the busy Canary Wharf financial district, at about 8am that day. Police said they are not treating his death as suspicious.
The Evening Standard reported earlier this week that William Broeksmit, a recently retired Deutsche Bank executive, was found hanged in home on Sunday. Police Scotland Yard have said his death was 'non-suspicious'.
