The current Premier League top scorer Luis Suarez has a sensational 23 Premier League goal tally so far this term - in just 21 appearances - for the Reds, with his strike partner Daniel Sturridge on 19 goals in all competitions, and 16 goals in 18 appearances in the Premier League.
Their combined Liverpool total currently sits at a whopping 39 goals, which is more than Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, who have 35 goals together. The Liverpool paring are also better than Atletico Madrid's David Villa and Diego Costa (31), Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovich and Edinson Cavani (also 31), and Barcelona’s Pedro and Alexis Sanchez (26).
The SAS, as they have been dubbed, have proved lethal in front of goal this season – the Uruguayan hit man has averaged one goal every 82 minutes in the league, with Sturridge averaging one goal every 88 minutes. Between them, they average a Liverpool goal every 42.5 minutes.
Suarez has scored four goals in a single game this term (against Norwich back in December), as well as a hat-trick against West Brom in October. He has also bagged no less than six braces this season. Sturridge scored one brace in the Merseyside derby in January.
Between them, they have also made 20 assists for the Liverpool team, and the pair have accounted for 59% of all Liverpool’s 66 goals in the Premier League so far this season.
