Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has taken to Twitter to apologise to his family, friends, Arsenal teammates and fans after further reports of his alleged affair were published in a Sunday newspaper.
The Sun on Sunday printed a picture of the French striker in his underwear a week after claiming he spent time in a hotel with a woman who was not his wife.
Following the latest story and accompanying picture, Giroud took to social media to send two tweets focusing on those closest to him and asking for their forgiveness.
"Nothing else matters at the moment he wrote."
Giroud is on the bench for today's FA Cup fifth-round match against Liverpool at Anfield. But the bigger question may be whether or not the media should now move on and leave him be as he attempts to repair any damage his alleged actions have caused.
You can read both his tweets below:

I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment.— Olivier Giroud (@_OlivierGiroud_) February 16, 2014
Do you think the media should now leave Giroud alone?
