Tottenham Hotspur manager has a dilemma on his hands…

Tottenham Hotspur dropped a 1-0 loss to Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday, February 24, losing valuable ground in the race for the final, elusive place in next season's Champions League competition by finishing inside the Premier League's top four.

Spurs are now six points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool, but still five points clear of Manchester United, in sixth.

With two fixtures this week, against FC Dnipro at White Hart Lane on Thursday evening, ahead of a Sunday test against Cardiff City, also at home, Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has called for instant bounce-back-ability.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: 'You can't rely on other people to lose every time and us qualify for the Champions League - it's not going to happen.

'It looks a big gap and is a big blow to us. We have got to bounce back. We have got Dnipro in the second leg, then Cardiff at home.

'We are looking for a bounce back and we need characters in the dressing room to do that. This is the first major setback I have had and we are going to need to be spirited and show what we are made of.'

Former manager Harry Redknapp, meanwhile, has warned the current manager to beware of the perils of attempting to prioritise the Europa League, or use it as a fixture to claim a momentum-building win, in, as the tournament is a 'killer'.

He told talkSPORT: 'The Europa League is a killer. Whoever plays in it will see their league form suffer badly. When you play on a Thursday, you very rarely play well on the weekend.'
