The retired midfielder has claimed that Paul Pogba will turn out to be a superior player than he was in his pomp.
With Manchester United desperate for energy and creativity in the centre of their midfield, they will still look back with remorse at Paul Pogba leaving the club.
Pogba has since gone on to become a France international and is adjudged as one of the most rounded midfielders in the European game.
“Compared to me, Pogba is more attacking, whereas I was more defensively-minded,” Vieira told Tuttosport.
“He pushes forward more and therefore scores more goals. He is also better on a technical level and is certainly more talented than I was.
“He is a player capable of scoring 10 to 15 goals every year. In a three-man midfield I think it suits his style of football.”
Pogba has the chance to show just how good he is this summer when he steps out for France at the World Cup.
Premier League sides have been linked with a move for Pogba in the recent past, with Paris Saint-Germain also keen to sign the Juventus star.
Can Pogba be better than Vieira was?
