England took on Denmark this evening - in what for most of the game was a viewer battle not to turn over to Mrs Brown Boys on BBC One.
Yes a thoroughly unfunny man dressed as a thoroughly unfunny woman would have been more entertaining than this monstrosity.
But the obligatory England rant aside there were some positives from the game.
Luke Shaw made his debut and looked fantastic - if he’s fit then Ashley Cole can start planning his summer holidays.
Adam Lallana came on and gave Jack Wilshere a lesson in one touch play while Steven Gerrard looked an assured presence - and Daniel Sturridge was rewarded for his performance with the late winner.
If you are a Dane - well Kasper Schmeichel’s performance would have been throwback to his old man.
One such Danish fan would probably have rather been out on the pitch - but he was still there.
Christian Eriksen was unfortunately ruled out for the game - the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder suffering a back problem in the recent Europa League tie v Dnipro.
But being a Londoner and a Dane it would have been wrong for him not to attend and that is what he did - mixing it up with the fans by the looks of his Instagram picture…
Hopefully he will be fighting fit for the game with Chelsea at the weekend.
Is Eriksen key to defeating Chelsea at the weekend?
