A launch window is planned for Watch Dogs to come out for Wii U in the Autumn.

The much hyped and anticipated open world action game Watch Dogs will be getting a Wii U port later this year. The pre-order for the Wii U version has appeared on Ubisoft’s Uplay store. While there is no official confirmation yet for a solid due date reports are circulating that Ubisoft have unofficially penciled-in a release in the Autumn.

Ubisoft are one of the few big third party studios supporting the Wii U this year and earlier mention from them that the Wii U is ‘an interesting platform’ with ‘its own strength” show clear interest from Ubisoft going forward.

Wii U gamers will have to wait long after the scheduled May release for other consoles but Ubisoft are reportedly exploring the possibilities raised with the Wii U GamePad, potentially bringing an interesting new angle to the game.

Originally Watch Dogs was planned for October 2013 so there has been blanket delays already while Ubisoft get their next blockbuster ready.

Are you a Wii U gamer pleased by the news, or are you annoyed by the delay to Watch Dogs?
