Chelsea's 'park the bus' approach saw manager Jose Mourinho take plenty of flak after their draw against Atletico Madrid.
Mourinho was spiky when quizzed about it post-game, but there's no doubting that the Blues got what they came for, avoiding defeat and leaving their fate in their own hands.
Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda argued after the game that Chelsea actually deserve congratulations, for being able to successfully see through the game plan they set to.
He told Marca: "I think every team has its own approach and we respect that. We weren't the better team; we weren't able to score, so we have to congratulate them on their style of play."
The centre-back will know though that Atletico will not have the luxury of sitting back to try and frustrate Chelsea for 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge.
To go through, barring a penalty shoot-out, they must push to score and make Chelsea's task even tougher by netting a vital away goal.
If they can do that, then Jose Mourinho may live to regret not being more attacking in Madrid and pushing harder for Chelsea to grab a goal of their own.
