Man United watch out, European moneybags want Van Gaal – report

Louis Van Gaal

French media are instigating that Monaco have one eye on the in-demand Dutch coach.

With David Moyes shown the Manchester United door this week, a media storm over the Scot’s potential replacement has ensued.

Louis van Gaal is the favourite to be the next Old Trafford boss after the experienced coach admitted that he is stepping down from his role with the Netherlands national side after this summer’s World Cup.

The likes of Tottenham have also been linked with Van Gaal – but a new side is now being mentioned as a potential destination for the former Bayern Munich boss.

Le 10 Sport claims that Claudio Ranieri’s time in charge of Monaco may well be up, after the Italian failed to deliver the Ligue 1 title at the first time of asking.

The French media source indicates that Van Gaal is in the Stade Louis II side’s gaze as a possible replacement for the Italian.

Van Gaal has previously stated that he wants to move to the Premier League ahead of next season, but could be convinced otherwise by the sheer amount of money on offer in the Principality.

Are Monaco a serious threat to United getting Van Gaal?
