Cardiff fans react on Twitter to relegation: 'Good one Vincent'

Cardiff City are relegated to the Championship after losing 3-0 away to Newcastle United.

The Bluebirds difficult first season in the Premier League, so uncertain at so many points, has finally reached a moment of clarity - unfortunately for fans of the South Wales side, what has become clear is that they'll be back in the Championship next year.

A disappointing 3-0 loss up at Newcastle United, who themselves had been struggling so much in recent weeks, was the flat result that sent Cardiff down, likely as the division's bottom club.

An early header from Shola Ameobi, coupled with Sunderland's own first half goal at Old Trafford, meant that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men would have to come from behind to take all three points and keep them from suffering relegation one week before the end of the season.

Despite plenty of endeavour, those goals never game, and Newcastle ended up scoring twice in the last five minutes through Loic Remy and Steven Taylor to seal Cardiff's fate.

They were joined in relegation by Fulham, who lost to 4-1 to Stoke City.

Highs such as the early home win over possible Champions Manchester City, to the lows of Malky Mackay's exit from the club, one thing is for sure, it has been an eventful season in the top flight for Cardiff City supporters. The one thing they'll be hoping for is that it won't take another 51 years to get back there.

Naturally, supporters of the club were devastated, and took to Twitter after the match to air their feelings on the relegation.

Can Cardiff come straight back up next year?
