Manchester United lost 1-0 to Sunderland this afternoon at Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans were given a reality check this afternoon - as it became clear that David Moyes’ sacking is not set to be the start of the revolution.
Manchester United lost at home, again, today - this time against Sunderland.
Personally I didn’t get the hype from last week. United were woeful in the first half and Norwich were luckily absolutely horrific - if it was Liverpool playing the Canaries it would have been six or seven.
The fact is this ageing team has lost its edge, lost a yard and the players are not up to the standard of last season - the fact is they are seventh in the Premier League because they are the seventh best team.
At the moment there is nothing that Ryan Giggs, Louis Van Gaal or Sir Alex Ferguson could do with this squad of players playing in the way they were - and today was surely the death knell for many a United career.
Nani was woeful, Javier Hernandez poor and as for Ashley Young - when your own fans are booing your every touch and cheering when you are subbed that means it is time to move on.
The fans have found a rather tongue in cheek way to express their disappointment on Twitter - with the hashtag #GiggsOut trending during game time.
For much of this season it was #MoyesOut that did the rounds - but today plenty took on the new way to highlight their disappointment.
Here are some choice versions … as United’s poor season continues:

Who should be sold by United this summer?
