Who joins Barkley and Ozil in the team of the week?

Ozil Arsenal 4

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Southampton, Sunderland and West Ham United stars all feature.

Manchester City are the favourites to land the Premier League title this morning, following Liverpool allowing a 3-0 lead to slip away at Crystal Palace last night.

It’s not all about the top of the table, as Cardiff City and Fulham will have to prepare for life in the Championship next season while Norwich City and Sunderland look set to take the relegation scrap to the last game of the season.

Here is our team of the week.

GK – Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Hart produced two of the best saves you are likely to see against Everton. He won’t be happy that his defence conceded twice but he’s in good form ahead of the World Cup.

RB – Mathieu Debuchy (Newcastle United)

The French right-back was in great form against Cardiff City and never really put a foot wrong. He tackled well, competed well and produced a very professional performance.

CB – Martin Demichelis (Manchester City)

Looked calm and composed during the 3-2 win against Everton. It may seem strange to select a defender when his side conceded twice but Demichelis looked like the best player in City’s back four.

CB – John O’Shea (Sunderland)

O’Shea looked determined to play well in the game against Manchester United and he showed he can still cut it against the best as he faced up to his former employers.

LB – Luke Shaw (Southampton)

Shaw did well in another difficult game away against Swansea City. The Saints sneaked a 1-0 win and Shaw put even more pressure on England boss Roy Hodgson.

RM – James Milner (Manchester City)

Any side needs a midfielder who can work extremely hard and City have that in the form of Milner, who protected his side well against Everton.

CM – Ross Barkley (Everton)

One Toffees star who did have success against City was Ross Barkley. He scored a superb goal, which gave Hart no chance and looked to be a constant threat throughout.

CM – Andreas Weimann (Aston Villa)

The Austrian hasn’t been at the heart of many dominant displays for Villa this season but he looked like the complete attacking package in Villa’s 3-1 win against Hull.

CM – Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

The German looks much more like the player we saw at the start of the season when sides had no idea how to contain him. He seems to be enjoying his football and has an FA Cup final to look forward to.

LM – Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City)

Ran the wings against Fulham and they didn’t really seem to have any idea over how to cope with him.

ST – Andy Carroll (West Ham United)

Another player giving Hodgson some problems. Carroll wouldn’t be a popular choice for England’s World Cup squad but he showed against Tottenham that he can really bully some very good defenders.
