Arsenal star speaks out on his future

Sagna

Bacary Sagna says that he will decide his future before next month’s World Cup finals.

Bacary Sagna’s future is wrapped up in uncertainty, but it won’t be so for long. That’s because the France international defender has stated that he will make a decision before the 2014 World Cup finals start in June.

Sagna has been at Arsenal since 2007 and has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League. Even at 31, the defender is still highly rated and will play for his country in Brazil next month.

However, the North London club have allowed his contract to run down and at the end of next month the former Auxerre man will become a free agent. The club and the player have failed to agree terms on a new deal, and it has been reported that Manchester City will snap him up.

Sagna is still going strong and has a lot to offer so a move to the Premier League champions does not appear far-fetched. Of course, City have veteran Argentine Pablo Zabaleta in that position, but big clubs can never have too many good players in one department, can they?

Anyway, the Frenchman has now stated that he will decide his future soon. According to Telefoot, he made it clear on Sunday that he will resolve his situation before the World Cup.
