For many people before the tournament, Belgium were seen as being the underdogs of going far in the tournament. Their start to the World Cup so far has only proven those people correct, with a 100% record from the Group Stages.
A 77th minute goal from Vertonghen was enough to beat South Korea in Sao Paulo, and they played nearly 50 minutes with ten man after midfielder Stefan Defour was sent off for a two-footed challenge.
To make it even better for them, Belgium rested Kompany, Hazard, De Bruyne, Witsel, Vermealen etc. for the knockout rounds. Quite frightening their youthful quality.
