Tottenham move for Wilfried Bony

Tottenham are eyeing a triple swoop on Swansea City, report WalesOnline, which could total £50 million. Top of their wishlist is striker Wilfried Bony who hit 26 goals in all competitions for the Swans last season. Left-back Ben Davies is a priority in a position where the club need a new option, while the third man of interest is goalkeeper Michael Vorm. Vorm is the one player they may decide to drop from the deal, after Brad Friedel extended his contract as cover for Hugo Lloris. His arrival would ask questions over the French international's future.

Arsenal progress on Mathieu Debuchy deal

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee of £12 million with Newcastle for Mathieu Debuchy, exclusively report The Star. The right-back is wanted to replace Bacary Sagna who has now departed the club on a free transfer, to be unveiled by Manchester City after the World Cup. France's participation in the tournament is now the only obstacle holding up Arsenal's move for Debuchy. Gunners fans will take confidence from the fact that the defender has been preferred to Bacary Sagna for a starting spot in Didier Deschamps France side.

Newcastle close on Siem de Jong

Ajax captain Siem de Jong has reportedly passed a medical at Newcastle United. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal and is seen as a replacement for Yohan Cabaye, who was sold to PSG in January. Siem is the brother of striker Luuk de Jong who had an unsuccessful loan spell at Newcastle last season. De Jong netted nine goals for Ajax in all competitions last season.
