Potential candidates in the UK and Ireland could end up on the Netflix payroll as Taggers.
Netflix employ a select elite of around 40 Taggers worldwide and are now looking for more in the UK and Ireland.
It’s the Netflix Taggers job to asses the content on the streaming service to help categorise it by genre, tone and style, which in turn helps Netflix provide suggestions for what viewers should watch next.
“Successful applicants will be responsible for watching and analyzing films and TV programmes that will be streaming on Netflix in the future.” reads the Netflix job posting, “The tagger will deconstruct the films and programmes and describe them using objective tags. “
The listing continues.with, "The role will offer flexible hours working from home and would suit those with a passion for films and TV programmes, as evidenced by a degree in film or film history and/or experience directing, screening writing or filmmaking. Applicants with analysis experience (e.g. as a critic or work in development) would also be well suited."
