Santi Cazorla wishes Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo a successful recovery from injury.
Arsenal attacker Santi Cazorla has used Twitter to wish compatriot Alvaro Negredo a speedy recovery.
Negredo announced via his Instagram page today that the results of a recent scan on his foot were not good, and that he has fractured a metatarsal. He is expected to miss three months of action.
Muchos animos a @_AlvaroNegredo_ que te recuperes pronto crack!!— Santi Cazorla (@19SCazorla) July 21, 2014
"Lots of encouragement to @_AlvaroNegredo_ that you recover soon pal!"
The pair know each other well from their time in the Spanish international squad together, although Negredo was overlooked for the World Cup after his City form fizzled out in the second half of the Premier League season.
Negredo will as a result of the injury, miss next month's Community Shield clash with Cazorla's Arsenal on August 10.
He is also likely to be unfit to face the Gunners when they meet in the Premier League on September 13 at The Emirates.
Cazorla may want to hope Negredo does not have 'too quick' a recovery.
