Laudrup was sacked as manager of Swansea City back in February, and has recently taken the post at the Qatar based club Lekhwiya, and now reportedly wants to bring Bony with him.
The Danish manager brought Bony to the Liberty Stadium last summer to bolster his attacking options, with the Ivorian netting 25-times in all competitions for the Swans. His goals may not have been enough to save Laudrup from the chop, but could now link up once again with his former boss.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton have all been reported as interested in Bony, but with the Welsh club demanding a fee close to £25million for his services, all are likely to pursue other options.
The same report also claims that Laudrup tried to negotiate a deal for Swansea’s Michu last week, before Italian outfit Napoli secured the Spaniard on loan for a season.
Spurs were another name linked to Bony during the last month, but reports suggest they may now approach Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku instead.
Bony to Lekhwiya would surely be up there with the most disappointing of transfers for football fans, as his proven ability at Premier League level would arguably be wasted in the Qatar league.
