City and Liverpool target not interested in move to England

Isco

Real Madrid star had been linked with a move to Manchester City and Liverpool.

Real Madrid star Isco is not interested in a move away from the Bernabéu, according to a report in Marca.

The 22-year-old had been linked with a move to both Manchester City and Liverpool, but seemingly wants to stay and fight for his place in the Spanish capital.

Isco’s place in the team is under threat following reports that Madrid have signed Colombia star James Rodriguez. Recent acquisition Toni Kroos also joins Luka Modric and Angel Di Maria as attacking midfield options.

The young Spaniard was often used as a substitute last season, as Real went on to win their tenth European title. Despite his staggered starting appearances, Isco went on to score eleven times and assist eight goals in what was a decent first campaign.

Real Madrid snatched Isco from under the noses of Manchester City last summer, as many expected him to link up with his former manager at Malaga, Manuel Pellegrini. The link to the Chilean boss has again been talked about this summer with regard to Isco making a move to the Etihad, but this now seems unlikely.

Isco is one of 20 names that have been included for Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of the United States, with manager Carlo Ancelotti seemingly keen to keep him.

The Marca report claims Isco is unwilling to leave Madrid but implies that he could be turned should he feel his first team opportunities are becoming limited. But for now it seems as if the reported Manchester City and Liverpool target will fight for his place at the European Champions.

Will Isco break into the Real Madrid side with their increased depth?
