A round up of transfer stories this morning about Arsenal.

The Daily Star reports that Arsene Wenger will not be looking to add another striker to his squad ahead of next season.

The news means that Olivier Giroud will continue as the club’s primary forward unless he suffers an injury.

“Up front we don’t need any more, maybe I will still bring in one centre-back. I will bring in a goalkeeper for sure and we are still out there to strengthen our squad,” said Wenger.

However, the Independent claims that reported Arsenal target Karim Benzema could still leave Real Madrid.

The arrival of James Rodriguez from Monaco could be seen as a threat to Benzema’s position in the side.

The French forward was being tipped to sign a new contract at Real last week.

Arsenal have reportedly withdrawn their interest in signing Sami Khedira from Real Madrid.

The German was linked with a £20 million move to the Gunners with a deal thought to be close between the two clubs.

However, he now looks set to stay at the Bernabeu despite interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
