A selection of the latest transfer news involving Liverpool Football Club this Wednesday morning.

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is attracting interest from Serie A champions Juventus according to the Daily Mail, with the Italian side said to be interested in taking the forward on loan.

The Reds accepted a £14 million offer from Sunderland for the Italian last week but the move has been put into doubt with his agent commenting that Borini would like to stay at Anfield and fight for his place.

Juve recently signed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, but after he sustained an injury which keeps him out for six weeks, they are said to be looking for cover.

There are some interesting reports in the Spanish press this morning suggesting that Liverpool will sign Javier Marquillo from Atletico Madrid on a two-year loan deal, and the report appears to indicate there will be an option to buy the full-back for around €6 million. The young Spaniard is a right-back, but has also played on the left side of defence for the La Liga champions. Marca is the outlet reporting the story.

There were rumours in other sections of the Spanish media yesterday suggesting a deal was close for Manquillo, whilst reports in the press on Merseyside suggested that Liverpool were interested, with a deal some way off.

Loic Remy was in Boston yesterday undergoing a medical, as expect, ahead of an £8.5 million move from Queens Park Rangers - with a deal expected to be completed by tomorrow.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the Reds are still confident of landing Dejan Lovren from Southampton and Divock Origi from Lille - with the latter expected to be loaned back for a season as part of the deal.

Rickie Lambert has told the Liverpool Echo that he is happy with whatever role that manager Brendan Rodgers has for him at the club this season, following his £4.5 million move from Southampton.

He said: “I know it’s a long season coming up and a hell of a lot of games so it’s whatever is in Brendan’s idea of pushing this club on to the next level.

“I’ll be happy with whatever role he has for me. If that’s a starting role or coming off the bench, it's one I’m getting ready for.

“I’m 32 so the days of just being happy when I’m playing have gone. I’m looking at the bigger picture."
