Thomas Eisfeld is now a Fulham player after completing a deal earlier today.

Earlier today Arsenal FC officially announced that their promising German youngster Thomas Eisfeld was leaving the club on a permanent deal. The German was being snapped up by his countryman Felix Magath at Fulham - despite being considered one of the best players in the Arsenal youth ranks.

At 21-years-old he has not however been able to break into the Arsenal first-team on a regular enough basis - and will now try to do so in the Championship as The Cottagers aim for an immediate return to the Premier League.

For many it was a surprise. Eisfeld has impressed on both his Arsenal first-team appearances. He even scored against West Brom in the League Cup last season and has been compared by many to Freddie Ljungberg.

But the attacking midfielder was obviously not part of the long-term plan at the club.

However his new endeavour is a positive one, with Fulham looking to push on next term he is likely to plenty of football for a top team under a German manager.

Now he has posed with a Fulham shirt for the first time and will surely be excited to get involved in first-team action as soon as possible.

Arsenal fans will surely wish him all the best in his latest adventure.
