VIDEO: Diego Costa's message to Chelsea fans following £32m move

Stamford Bridge Inside

Diego Costa has been speaking to Chelsea TV following his big-money move.

New Chelsea striker Diego Costa has given his first interview to Chelsea TV, in which he had a message for the fans that they will no doubt be pleased to hear.

After moving from Atletico Madrid for a reported £32million, Costa said, "I’d say to the fans that you need to be confident that I personally will fight for this club to make sure we are in contention to win as many trophies as possible.

"I am part of a great group here of players, and we will do everything we can to give the fans what they want and that’s titles.”

The Spanish international is one of a number of impressive summer additions, along with Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis.

With Kurt Zouma also back at the club, and with Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah able to enjoy a full pre-season with the Blues following their January moves, Jose Mourinho will be quietly confident that the new campaign will see considerable success for his side.

Costa scored 36 goals for Atletico last season and he is exactly the kind of frontman the Blues need as they look to challenge both domestically and in Europe.  And having vowed to fight for trophies, it is clear he knows exactly why he has been signed.

How successful do you think Costa will be at Chelsea?
