Manchester United transfer news: Juve director with Vidal hint, no offers for Sneijder

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Manchester United.

Juventus have hinted that they could sell Arturo Vidal to Manchester United.

The Chilean has been linked with the club throughout the summer, but a deal hasn’t been close due to Juve’s stance over retaining him for next season.

“In cases likes this, what is almost always crucial, is the will of the players,” director Pavel Nedved told Tuttosport.

Galatasaray have confirmed there have been no offers for Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Sneijder has been linked with a move to United following the arrival of Louis van Gaal as the club’s manager.

“With regards to Muslera and Sneijder we have not received an offer for either player,” Unal Aysal told Turkish Football.

Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward says the club are ready to break records in order to land new players.

United have already spent big to secure Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera on long term deals.

“It is in our capabilities. The club are not afraid of doing that—spending significant amounts of money in the transfer market,” said Woodward.
