Arsenal legends back together.
Thierry Henry is not known for giving any quarter on the field, but his upcoming match this weekend threatens to descend into a love-in.
The Frenchman goes head-to-head with former side Arsenal, when the Gunners take on New York Red Bulls on Saturday.
Arsenal landed in New York yesterday, and Arsene Wenger has been undertaking a series of commercial events today, while some of the players headed off sight-seeing.
The Gunners posted the above photo on their Instagram page, with the message: "The boss and Thierry chat about old times at Red Bull Arena after the press conference ahead of Saturday's game. #arsenalnyc #arsenal #afc #coyg"
Wenger hinted at the press conference that he would like Henry to play one half of the match in Arsenal colours, which would go some way to solving their strike issues, with Chuba Akpom the only forward flown out.
Whether the MLS side or even the rules of the league allow it on the other hand, is another matter.
Wenger was highly complimentary of Henry at the press conference, stating: "He got a statue in front of the Stadium, that explains his contribution to the club."
Should the Red Bulls allow Henry to play a half for Arsenal?
