You’ll be able to watch 3D Blu-rays on your PS4 after next week Sony has announced. The new functionality will be coming with next week’s update 1.75.

Earlier this week update 1.74 for PS4 was implemented worldwide with some minor changes to improve overall system stability.

Microsoft has recently also announced 3D Blu-ray support will be arriving with August’s system update for Xbox One. Users in the Xbox update preview program can already play 3D Blue-rays.

A number of features still to be implemented for PS4 include suspend and resume, a function which allows you to remotely take control of another player’s game and MP3 playback.

Is 3D Blu-ray support something you’re missing from PS4 right now?
