Transfer Bin: Ronaldo linked with improbable Real Madrid departure over FFP concerns

Ronaldo Strikes

It’s the annual story that will simply never transpire, with Cristiano Ronaldo as good as ever for Real Madrid.

The annual, somewhat predictable transfer tosh regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid future has finally arrived this summer.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Ronaldo could leave Madrid to help fund the purchases of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez at the Bernabeu. The report also suggests that Real’s bid to make sure they are within UEFA’s new financial fair play rules could also warrant the sale of the Portuguese star.

Whether it be funding other signings or complying with FFP, Real Madrid would never have made the decisions to spend if it meant jeopardising the future of their biggest talent.

Ronaldo scored 51 goals in 47 appearances for Madrid last season, and landed his second FIFA Ballon d;Or award to make him the best player on the planet. So why on earth would the Spanish giants consider getting rid of him?

He is still integral to everything that Real Madrid are, and everything they hope to achieve in the next few years. Not even the arrival of Gareth Bale last year, or Kroos and Rodriguez this summer will change that.

He is the main man, the spearhead of the attack, and the club would lose on average 50 goals a season were he to be sold, the difference between winning trophies and not.

Kroos and Rodriguez will only supplement Real Madrid, not hinder them or their stars. Ronaldo is staying with the European Champions, without a shadow of a doubt.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo finish his career with Real Madrid?
