A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

The Mirror claim Jose Mourinho is hoping to re-sign Didier Drogba to the club within the next 48 hours.

Drogba has been linked with a Chelsea return where he could be offered a player-coach role.

“If I bring him back it is because, as a player, he has certain qualities to make the team stronger,” said the Portuguese.

Hannover and Besiktas are reportedly leading the race to sign Marko Marin from Chelsea.

The German midfielder has struggled to make an impact under Jose Mourinho, spending time on loan with Sevilla last season.

Marin could opt for a move to Hannover, which would allow him to return to the Bundesliga.

Sunderland are reportedly eyeing a deal for Chelsea left-back Patrick van Aanholt.

The Black Cats were thought to be closing on a permanent deal for Marcos Alonso but the 23-year-old defender has emerged as an alternative.

Van Aanholt is thought to be open to the idea of leaving following the arrival of Filipe Luis at the club.
