Bank Of America Corner Signs

Bank of America has named Paul Simpson chief of its prime brokerage after Stuart Hendel left earlier this year.

Bloomberg News reports that Simpson, 47, was formerly head of the bank’s global transaction services business, according to an internal announcement.

In the meantime, Jon Weiss, the former global head of a special situations group at Royal Bank of Scotland, is joining hedge-fund firm Candlewood Investment Group.

Bloomberg reports that Weiss will join the $2.9bn credit firm as a managing partner and money manager later this year, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified because the information is private.

Finally, Citigroup has named James Boyle as global head of equity derivatives, according to an internal memo, replacing Simon Yates who left for hedge fund Two Sigma Investments in early July.

Reuters reports that Yates was the second executive in Citi's equities division to leave the bank for a hedge fund this year, after global head of equities trading Mike Pringle departed for Moore Capital Management in May.
