CONFIRMED: Arsenal line-up to face New York - Zelalem starts

Gedion Zelalem

Arsenal take on New York Red Bulls and Thierry Henry this evening.

Arsenal take on the New York Red Bulls this evening in an exciting clash - which will see them pit their wits against club legend Thierry Henry.

On a day where it looks as though they have completed the signings of Callum Chambers and David Ospina things are not slowing down for The Gunners as they get their pre-season campaign underway.

It is likely to be a tough situation for Carl Jenkinson - who is set to feature despite being seemingly surplus to requirements after the Chambers developments.

The squad is very strong in midfield. The likes of Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta are all present - while exciting youngsters like Gedion Zelalem, Hector Bellerin and Kristoffer Olsson should get an appearance at some point in the game.

Meanwhile Chuba Akpom is the only striker in the squad as Benik Afobe was left at home - and scored twice today in a game against Harrow - and Yaya Sanogo is inexplicably left at home.

Of course any player who went far in the World Cup is also not present.

So who starts tonight against the Red Bulls...

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Hayden, Monreal, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Zelalem, Ramsey, Cazorla, Rosicky

SUBS: Martinez, Miquel, Bellerin, Coquelin, Diaby, Olsson, Toral, Flamini, Akpom

Can Zelalem shine?
