CONFIRMED: Manchester United line-up to face AS Roma - Cleverley captain

Louis Van Gaal

Who is in line to take on the Italian side this evening?

Manchester United certainly got their pre-season campaign off to a flying start in the week, as they dealt a thumping 7-0 thrashing to MLS powerhouses LA Galaxy.

The performance and the system of the team in their first game under Louis van Gaal caught the eye - as a fluid 3-4-3 made United look like the Dutch team that performed so well at the World Cup under LvG this summer.

There was also some fantastic individual performances. Ander Herrera was exceptional, Reece James a surprise and Ashley Young even turned in a decent performance - his first in a very long time.

But tonight they face an entirely different beast in the shape of Italian side AS Roma.

So who lines up against the Serie A title contenders?

First of all we know for a fact that Rafael will not feature. The Brazilian is injured so will therefore miss out on the occasion. Van Gaal has also confirmed that Tom Cleverley and Tyler Blackett are set to play the entire 90 minutes.

So how do you United line up for this evenings game...?

Manchester United XI: Johnstone; Jones, Evans, Blackett; Valencia, Cleverley (c), Herrera, James, Welbeck; Mata, Rooney
