Tottenham winger Erik Lamela agreed to pose with an Arsenal fan, but did not look happy about it.
Tottenham winger Erik Lamela's mission this season is to wipe the smile off Arsenal fans' faces.
The Gunners once again finished above Tottenham last year despite high hopes from their North London rivals they could finally turn the tables.
Part of their optimism was swung by the signing of Argentine winger Lamela, who had scored 15 Serie A goals for Roma a year earlier.
The 22-year-old failed to click initially, and then lost the entire second half of the season through injury, making only three Premier League starts in all.
Recovered to full fitness, he has shown promising signs this pre-season, finding the net against FC Toronto and impressing Mauricio Pochettino.
He has also shown a touch of goodwill and good humour in dealing with a picture request from an Arsenal fan during their trip of North America.
Lamela could easily have declined to have his picture taken, or made it a bit of a PR own goal by looking thrilled to be asked, but he handled it perfectly, looking unhappy to be standing next to a Gooner.
Tottenham did not score against Arsenal in three matches last season, and Lamela will be aiming to ensure that streak does not continue when the two sides meet on September 27.
Did Lamela handle the request well? Will he have a big impact for Spurs this season?
