Xbox One UK chart: Hot weather and no big new games means slow charts

Bucket and spade on beach

The Microsoft Xbox One charts are moving at a snail’s pace again this week, due to summer heat waves, school holidays and little to no new game releases.

This hot weather we’re having isn’t doing much for game sales, with another drop in units sold in the market overall, meaning it’s the second lowest in unit sales this year and the lowest for revenue, according to Chart Track.

With no big name game releases really in sight for Xbox One until August/September time, the charts could remain a little stale for the next few weeks. Regardless, let’s see what’s been happening anyway.

Titanfall is still sits aloft its high chart tower at number one, with Call of Duty: Ghosts sitting pretty right behind it for another week at two. Shifting up one or two places from last week are FIFA 14, Sniper Elite 3, Watch Dogs, and Battlefield 4. And dropping down we see Wolfenstein, Forza, and EA Sports UFC, with a new re-entry from Plants Vs Zombies which knocks Assassin’s Creed IV out of the top ten.

The top 10 games in the UK for Xbox One, according to the Chart Track games charts as at 26th July 2014, are below:

1. TITANFALL

2. CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS

3. FIFA 14

4. SNIPER ELITE 3

5. WATCH DOGS

6. WOLFENSTEIN: THE NEW ORDER

7. BATTLEFIELD 4

8. FORZA MOTORSPORT 5

9. EA SPORTS UFC

10. PLANTS VS ZOMBIES: GARDEN WARFARE
