Atari Game Over: New documentary rediscovers the worst game ever

Atari 2600

We have the trailer for an upcoming film unearthing the disastrous E.T. video game and Atari’s fall from grace.

Earlier in the year, a piece of gaming folklore was put to the test as a team containing screenwriter Zak Penn took to the New Mexico desert in search of buried E.T. video game cartridges.

The ill-fated E.T. movie-tie in (widely held to be the worst game ever made) was successfully uncovered and Penn has since directed a film covering the dig and the story of Atari’s rise and fall.

A promo for the film can be seen below. This is one we’re intrigued to see.
