Manchester United have confirmed their starting XI for the pre-season International Champions Cup game.
Manchester United continue their State-side pre-season preparations this evening, Tuesday, as they take on Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup at the FedExField in Washington DC.
Current standings see United atop of Group A with three points, edging Inter on two, Real Madrid on one and AS Roma on zero, but in order to maintain their advantage in the table, the Old Trafford outfit will have to oversee a tricky Serie A side managed by Walter Mazzarri.
As such, United boss Louis van Gaal has named a strong starting XI that will likely play in the 3-5-2 formation.
In attack, Wayne Rooney is supported by Danny Welbeck, with Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Darren Fletcher in midfield.
The wing back roles appear to be taken by Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young, while the centre back trident consists of Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling.
Starting XI: Lindegaard; Smalling, Jones, Evans; Valencia, Fletcher, Herrera, Young; Mata; Rooney, Welbeck.
