A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club this Tuesday morning.
The Belgian forward is set to join the club on a £10 million deal from Lille, with the 19-year-old set for a season on loan back at the French club as part of the deal.
Midfielder Suso has said talks are taking place with the club over a new contract, with the young Spaniard keen to stay put on Merseyside.
The 20-year-old has a year left to run on his existing deal and is quoted in the Liverpool Echo reflecting on his loan spell at Almeria.
He said: “I wanted to go on loan because at my age I felt I needed to play every week and feel important to a club.
“I played nearly every game and helped Almeria stay up. I was lucky enough to play against Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but the most important thing is that I learned a lot and became a better player.
“That was vital as now I'm back fighting for places with the best players in the Premier League."
Striker Daniel Sturridge has been talking about the signings that Liverpool have made so far. With Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren from Southampton, along with Emre Can and Lazar Markovic from Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica with the promise of more to come, Sturridge thinks the players that have been brought in are exciting.
The 24-year-old is quoted by several publications, saying: “For me with the signings that the manager has made - exciting players, young players, 'up and comers' as they call them with experience of the Premier League - we are going to have that winning mentality and the mentality to move forward.
“We'll be an exciting squad, playing attacking football and that’s the Liverpool way. We will continue to do that."
Liverpool's latest signing Dejan Lovren has been given number six ahead of the new season. Luis Alberto wore the shirt last season but is spending this season on loan at Malaga, meaning the number has been vacated.
