To celebrate the imminent launch of the Last of Us Remastered on PS4 Naughty Dog have staged a one-off live performance.

The Last of Us: One Night Live reunited key actors from the game, among them Troy Baker (Joel) and Ashley Johnson (Ellie). The show featured some of the most memorable scenes from The Last of Us acted out live with direction from TLOU writer Neil Druckmann and live musical performances from TLOU composer Gustavo Santaolalla.

The theatrical performance also consisted of a previously unseen epilogue scene that was not filmed and will reportedly never be released to the public. The scene has been summarised by attendees on NeoGAF, it is reportedly a goodbye to Joel and Ellie set four years after the game’s conclusion. We have pieced together a synopsis below (BEWARE SPOILERS)

In the scene set at Tommy’s Dam, Joel  tells a distant Ellie that Tommy is trying to set him up with a women called Esther. Joel then pulls out a guitar, sings a song and has a joke with Ellie before gifting her the guitar.Joel then leaves Ellie and the scene closes with her on her own strumming the guitar.
