Former Italian international striker Alessandro Del Piero has had a glittering career stretching back over 20 years since making his professional debut in 1992.
During that time he has predominantly featured for Serie A champions Juventus, playing at the top level and coming up against the best players and managers in the world.
Amongst the bosses faced include the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, current Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, former treble-winning Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes and two-time Champions League winner Ottmar Hitzfield.
Del Piero, however, believes that none of these managerial icons compare to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti - labelling him as ‘the best coach of all time’.
“I’ve come here to say hello to Carlo Ancelotti – he is the best coach of all time and I am delighted for him that he won ‘La Décima’ with Madrid. That was a special moment for him and for Real Madrid,” Del Piero said, quoted by the Spanish newspaper AS.
Ancelotti joined the Blues in 2009 and had a successful two-year stint in West London before being controversially sacked by owner Roman Abramovich.
During his debut season at Stamford Bridge, the Italian completed a first-ever domestic double for the club and broke the Premier League scoring record in the process, with the club notching 103 goals over the 38-game season.
After leaving England Ancelotti has since gone on to win the French league with PSG before moving to Real Madrid and winning both the Copa Del Rey and the Champions League in his first season at the club.
Is former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti the best ever?
