Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Hope over Schneiderlin, Vlaar to meet agent

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Star claims Southampton are ready to go to war with Morgan Schneiderlin as he eyes a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Saints chairman Ralph Krueger insisted he would not give into pressure and sell the midfielder and striker Jay Rodriguez to Tottenham Hotspur.

“Rodriguez and Schneiderlin will not be going anywhere - they will not be sold and will be part of the club as we enter the new season,” said the Saints chief.

Schneiderlin could still try and force a move to Tottenham this summer.

Several reports have suggested he could hand in a transfer request as he looks to link up with old manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Goal claims that the player was told by the Saints he could leave if a bigger club came knocking.

Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar says he will meet with his agent to discuss his future at the club.

Vlaar has been linked with a move to Spurs as well as Manchester United under Louis van Gaal.

“In the last few weeks, I haven't even thought about a possible transfer. The only thing I did was enjoy my holiday and I didn't think about football. Soon I will meet my agent and discuss the various options,” he told members of the Dutch press.
