Ex Manchester United man awaiting a ‘Suarez full of rage’ at Barca

Barcelona expect the former Liverpool star to be all fired up once he returns from his suspension.

With Barcelona training at St George's Park in the Midlands, the English press have been quick to discuss the club's record signing Luis Suarez with his future teammates.

The La Liga giants bought the reigning Premier League top scorer and last season's PFA Player of the Year from Liverpool for a huge £75 million, well aware of the baggage that comes with the 27-year-old.

Hit with a four-month ban after biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in Brazil, Suarez has been unable to meet up with his fellow Barca players in any kind of football setting, and is yet to train with them.

But it is something World Cup winning defender Gerardo Pique said will only add more fire and desire to do good once the former Ajax man does return.

"I expect that he (Suarez), like anybody who has the possibility of doing their work taken away from them, will be feeling rage," the Spaniard said at a news conference at St George's Park.

It is possible Suarez's first game at Barcelona after his ban will be the opening El Clasico of the season on October 26th, just a day after his ban expires.

That fixture is not only one of the most anticipated in world football, but is also a match that is often the stage for controversy, dramatics, and no shortage of violence on and off the pitch, all parts of football Suarez is more than accustomed to.

The Uruguayan's bulldog like forward play will be of great use to Luis Enrique's side when they visit the Bernabeu just a couple of months into the new season, though even if he ends up playing later (or earlier depending on his latest appeal against the four-month ban), it is an attitude Pique feels will be utilised to show he is up there with the very best.

"For the time being he has to wait," added the former Manchester United defender. "When he returns he will be full of desire to show that he is one of the best forwards on the planet."

Interestingly, Suarez also started Liverpool's 2013-14 season late after biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic. That didn't deter the striker though, who exploded into form as soon as he returned to the field, and ended up with more goals than any other Premier League player.

Barcelona will be hoping for the exact same thing to happen when he returns from his latest biting ban.

Will Suarez be a better player upon his return from suspension?
