New rumours have emerged that Apple’s new iPhone could see a release in Autumn this year.

According to MacRumours, a source has revealed that, off the back of an Apple Retail Store meeting, the iPhone 6 could launch on Tuesday 14th October 2014.

During the meeting the senior Store Leader spoke of 14th October as being an ‘immense’ day for Apple, and that October would be ‘very busy for stores and the company itself’.

A media event is also said to be planned for 16th September, a month before the rumoured iPhone 6 launch.

Apple usually announces and launches new products on Tuesdays, so 16th September and 14th October would fall in line with that trend. Despite these rumours of the iPhone 6 launch, October will probably be hectic for Apple anyway as they’re likely to reveal the new Macs, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iOS 8 and maybe even an iWatch.

As with any information like this, take it with a grain of salt – we’ll update you as and when anything official is released.
