Nemanja Matic was a signing who made an immediate impact for Chelsea last season, and appears certain to be part of their first choice XI for 2014/15.
One thing the tough tackling Serbian did not do, was score a goal - but he did manage to do so against Vitesse Arnhem in this week's friendly.
Teammate and compatriot Branislav Ivanovic has backed him to do so, telling Chelsea's website:
"It’s great for him in terms of his confidence, he’s capable of scoring goals so hopefully now he can go on and score a few more."
Matic was not a regular scorer for former side Benfica, but did net six times in 56 Primeira Liga appearances. One of these was a spectacular volley which was nominated for FIFA's Puskas Award.
One thing is for sure, if Matic is to score for Chelsea next season, he will have to improve his accuracy.

Matic landed only 15 per cent of his attempts on target, a poor return which with added confidence and adaptation, can surely only get better.
If he does become a regular goalscorer for Chelsea, then it will be a real bonus to the team, but if he does not, the Blues have enough talent in their side and attacking dangermen that they won't be impacted.
How many goals do you think Matic can score for Chelsea?
