AC Milan's striking line-up for next season remains the subject of much speculation and the latest reports indicate they are leaning towards a move for Joel Campbell.
The San Siro side put their trust in enigmatic marksman Mario Balotelli last season, but it was a mixed campaign for Super Mario, again dogged by incidents off the pitch.
The press had reported that Milan were on the brink of selling Balotelli to Arsenal for just under £30 million at the start of June, but club president Silvio Berlusconi claimed that Balotelli's poor World Cup scuppered the deal.
The sale of Balotelli was essential for Milan to engage in an active transfer campaign this summer and they remain short of resources.
Recently it has been suggested that a swap deal may work with Milan getting Joel Campbell, who is known to be a target, and Arsenal receiving Balotelli.
That may be on the cards as Sky Sport Italia has reported that Milan transfer guru Adriano Galliani is considering jumping on a flight to London this weekend to see Campbell at the Emirates Cup and discuss the Costa Rican with Arsenal's directors.
However, Galliani may have other business in London and could be flying there to discuss Adel Taarabt with Queens Park Rangers.
Taarabt spent the second half of last season on loan to Milan and impressed, but a permanent deal seems to have steadily slipped down the list of priorities at San Siro.
Should Arsenal let Joel Campbell go?
