Report – Liverpool teenager on the verge of Italy move

Liverpool youngster Rafael Paez is on the verge of joining Bologna reports claim.

Liverpool’s huge influx of transfers this summer has made it difficult for a number of young players to break in to the first-team squad.

Boss Brendan Rodgers is still on the lookout for more signings as he bids to juggle both the Champions League and a Premier League title challenge this season, but to what cost?

Young Spaniards Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto have both returned to Spain on loan, whereas English fullback Andre Wisdom has joined fellow Premier League side West Brom also on a year-long loan deal.

According to Sky Sports Italia, a third Spaniard Rafael Paez is also set to leave the club as Serie A outfit Bologna close in on his signature.

The report states that the two clubs are in advanced talks over the young centre-back and the negotiation of a loan deal with the option to buy could be closed as early as tomorrow.

19-year-old Paez joined the Reds on a free transfer last September following his release from the Real Madrid youth team.

Initially impressing on a trial, he was given a permanent deal and made his debut for the U21 side during their impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

The young defender was lauded for his composure at the back, and he went on to make 15 appearances at the heart of the Anfield outfit’s U21 side during the 2013/14 season, scoring one goal.

Does young defender Rafael Paez have a future at Liverpool?
