QPR

Norwich City manager Neil Adams has handed Harry Redknapp all the hope he needs in his pursuit of midfielder Leroy Fer.

Redknapp has previously confirmed his interest in the Netherlands international and Adams' latest comments have emphasised the distinct possibility of Fer leaving Carrow Road this summer.

"He’s just played in the World Cup, he scored a goal and he’s going to be in demand from bigger and more wealthy teams," Adams told Sky Sports News.

"Obviously with our relegation last season we’re going to be at the mercy of that.

"I’ve said many times I’d love to keep them all but we have to be realistic. I’m not resigned to losing him. I hope he stays here but you’ve got to be realistic."

In other QPR transfer news, reports suggest the Rs could agree a £5million deal for Cardiff City forward Jordon Mutch.

Sunderland had also reportedly targeted the 22-year-old but Redknapp looks as though he could seal a deal soon.

Meanwhile, Alan Pardew believes Newcastle's chances of signing Loic Remy are becoming more and more unlikely.

He said: "I think he’s had plenty of chances to come to us.

“We made it very clear that we would like to have him and it hasn’t really happened and therefore sometimes you have to say ‘Where’s the line drawn for us as a club?’ as we have our own respect and our own professionalism."

Fulham

Former Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale admits he spoke to two ex-Cottagers before agreeing his move to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Stockdale has revealed he spoke to ex-Fulham striker Bobby Zamora ahead of the move, as well as ex-goalkeeper Antti Niemi - now a goalkeeping coach at Brighton.

"When the interest came about I spoke to a few people about the club, Bobby Zamora being one," he said.

"He told me about the people and the club itself and how good it would be down here.

"Antti looked after me at Fulham when I first went in as a young keeper. I know what he is about, what his training is like and what kind of person he is."

Elsewhere, Felix Magath's new signing Nikolay Bodurov will wear the no.6 shirt at Craven Cottage.
