La Liga outfit Sevilla have reportedly lined up a replacement as Liverpool target Alberto Moreno closes in on Anfield move.
According to the Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo, the man in question is Sporting’s Brazilian left-back Jefferson Nascimiento and the deal is said to be at an advanced stage.
As for Spanish international Moreno, new reports suggest that he could be a Liverpool player as early as this weekend as Estadio Deportivo state that the two clubs are extremely close to a deal.
“Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno is very close to joining Liverpool and his transfer could be finalised this weekend for a deal worth around €20million. The conversations in the last few hours have been fruitful and everything is advanced.” The report claims.
The report goes on to say that Sevilla are waiting for the Reds delegation to arrive and close negotiations once and for all.
Moreno has been linked with a move to Merseyside for much of the summer and a deal was reportedly all-but done before the World Cup had kicked off.
Negotiations, however, had reportedly come to a standstill over money though as a result of Liverpool’s new windfall in cash from the sale of Luis Suarez, perhaps the Premier League outfit are now more willing to match the Spanish club's demands.
Boss Brendan Rodgers has been crying out for a new left-back all summer and at 22-years-old, Moreno is both an excellent short-term and long-term option.
He has represented Sevilla 61 times since making his debut for the club in 2012, and his fine form last season convinced Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque to hand him an international call.
Will Alberto Moreno be a success at Liverpool?
