Light foundations for summer skin

Beauty Make Up

Look fresh in the heat

Summer skin, summer glow... All I have is a summer cold, and my skin is as dull as the rest of me. Unfortunately, in this epic heat, my usual foundation is as cloying as slapping on a mudpack. I need something that isn’t going to suffocate my face and Chanel’s Les Beiges All-in-One Healthy Glow Fluid (£34, 020 7493 383) is a silky pleasure to apply – although it still required the help of concealer to hide blemishes. For coverage, Lancôme’s Miracle Air de Teint (£29.50, boots.com) fares much better – it’s as lightweight as a Mr Whippy, but has a matte-powdered finish. Which is great if you want to pretend that, thanks to the glorious weather, you’re not wearing make-up at all.
