There were several surprised Arsenal fans when the club announced Thomas Eisfeld had been sold to Fulham, and he is already impressing at his new club.
After beating Turkish side Cayko Rizespor 1-0 at the weekend, new manager Felix Magath singled out Eisfeld for praise.
He told Fulham's official website: "Thomas Eisfeld showed that he’s very dangerous, he’s very skilful with the ball, and is a very good attacking player."
The former Borussia Dortmund youngster impressed in previous pre-season campaigns for Arsenal, but failed to earn a role in the Premier League.
Having taken the drop down to play Championship football, Eisfeld will be hoping to get regular first team action under his belt.
Fulham are just one week away from their campaign kicking off, facing Ipswich Town on Saturday at 5.15pm.
Eisfeld will hope he can get off to a fast start and convince his fellow German Magath he deserves to play a key role this season, but with his positive early impression, he may already have done just that.
Will Arsenal regret allowing Eisfeld move to Fulham?
