All the latest summer transfer news from League One...
Arsenal striker Benik Afobe made it clear last week that he wanted to go out on loan - and that's just what he's done. Following temporary spells at Huddersfield, Reading, Bolton, Milwall and Sheffield Wednesday, the 21-year-old is now on the move to MK Donsv, as manager Karl Robinson adds another striker to his squad having already landed Will Grigg and Tom Hitchcock.
"I'm really pleased. As soon as I spoke to the manager I knew this is what I wanted to do. It was an easy decision for me," said Afobe. "I'm a striker who will hopefully score a few goals, I've got good pace and I link to link-up with the midfielders and wingers. I'm just really looking forward to getting going now. I just want to play games and help this team out as much as I can."
Elsewhere, news recently broke that Crewe were on the verge of losing striker Mathias Pogba. The Guinean international - brother of Juventus and former Manchester United star Paul Pogba - reportedly wanted a move to Italy so he could reunite with his brother.
Now, the 23-year-old has got his wish after Serie B side Pescara confirmed that Pogba has joined the club for an undisclosed fee. "Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to thank Mathias for his service and we wish him every success for the future," read a club statement from Gresty Road.
Finally, Sheffield United have finally bagged a striker to cap off their summer. Manager Nigel Clough has brought in a handful of defenders and midfielders, but now former Crewe, Falkirk, St. Mirren and Motherwell striker Michael Higdon has joined the club having impressed during a spell in the Netherlands with NEC Nijmegen. With 14 goals in 32 games in the Eredivisie, the Blades will hope that the 30-year-old can fire them to promotion.
