The Spanish keeper looks to have been forced out of Real Madrid by the arrival of Keylor Navas.
Lopez is thought to be on his way out of the Bernabeu thanks to the arrival of Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who was presented to the Madrid fans on Tuesday.
Iker Casillas is also still at the club, and despite Lopez appearing in the majority of games for the European Champions over the last two seasons, looks to have been the one chosen to depart the club.
Lopez has been linked with AC Milan over the last few days, but reports are purely speculative according to his agent.
"Lopez to Milan?'s Not correct. Nobody called me and then Diego Lopez has a 3-year contract with Real Madrid,” His agent, Manuel Garcia Quillon, told Italian site Tuttomercatoweb.
Quillon also seemed unphased by the arrival of Keylor Navas and the impact it may have on his client.
“This is not a problem, Diego Lopez is a player of Real Madrid."
Any potential move for Lopez could spark a goalkeeper merry-go-round, with Real Madrid surprisingly linked with a move for Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois. Courtois has only just returned to the club after a spending three seasons on loan with Atletico Madrid, but is supposedly of interest to their local rivals.
Lopez himself has been linked with a move the other way to Chelsea, as well as French outfit Monaco. But for now it seems as if the Spaniard will be staying at Madrid, unless his agents comments are there to attract further transfer activity for Lopez.
Will Chelsea declare an interest in Diego Lopez?
